Walking towards the Brooks Museum, first thing to see is the exterior stone made with the character of antiquity - a structure that looks like it will withstand the test of time.

‍

The museum was holding a 'Free Entry Saturday', an very affordable way for visitors to immerse themselves in the world of art without straining their wallets. And don't worry if you missed the free day, the admission fees for other days are entirely reasonable.

Having entered the museum, I was immediately drawn to a small coffee shop nestled on the right side of the room. A whiff of freshly brewed coffee traveled through the air, and I found myself eager to try the Americano - the perfect companion for the artistic journey ahead. The shop was adorned with intriguing trinkets for sale, jewelry pieces. These items could be featured in the museum one day to go along with all the other showroom items.

After drinking that coffee I decided to explore the museum. My intrigue piqued by the intriguing sight of statues resembling unearthed artifacts of a forgotten era.

‍

As I ventured deeper, the museum unfolded like a book, each room holding images from different periods of time. Among these timeless stories, Georg Desnarees's vibrant oil on canvas painting caught my attention. It featured a proud man, basking in a moment of joy, encased in a thickly crafted frame.

‍

The museum's timeline then hurtled me towards another era. This time I noticed two dogs fighting or playing. It's hard to tell because they are frozen in time. What secret was hidden in their barks, I wonder?

‍

Taking the journey upwards towards the top floor, this specific art of Kent Monkan, was an interesting idea that was set to play. A seemingly alive image played in a loop on a digital screen, a fantastic use of multimedia that brings history to life in the present time.

‍

‍

My last stop was the "Late Medieval and Renaissance Art" room, a step back into an age of enlightenment and rebirth. This room housed an eclectic collection of art pieces that explored the Renaissance's conceptual heaven and the thrill of discovery. Here is some music from the time period too from YouTuber Official Piffaro

Exploring the Brooks Museum was an artful voyage through time and culture. It was a tangible testament to the unyielding spirit of creativity, and an experience I'd heartily recommend. Check out the official Brooks webpage for more information.
